There
are two airports in the region serviced by Virgin Blue and Jetstar.
One located at Proserpine and the other on Hamilton Island.
Proserpine
Airport, also known as Whitsunday Coast Airport, is a short 40
minute drive from Airlie Beach and Shute Harbour. Whitsunday Taxi
and a Whitsunday Transit coach meet all arrivals and departures.
The major car rental companies also service the airport.
Fantasea
Cruises offers nano-cruises between the coast and majority of
the Whitsunday Resort Islands – with regular trips between Airlie
Beach and Hamilton Island. See Timetables for more information.
